Dr. Lance T. McCready, Associate Professor of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education, and Director of the Transitional Year Programme at University of Toronto, is an award-winning community researcher, educator, and author. Lance brings over three decades of experience developing and leading programs and organizations for Black sexual and gender minority populations in the United States and Canada into his role as the BGMN Executive Lead. As the BGMN Arts & Culture Lead, he has produced & directed our Joy and From Our Point of View series, and guides our present artistic branding. Diavin Miller (he/him)
Finance Lead
Diavin is a people, project, and operations leader with extensive experience in telecommunications and financial services. He has led teams in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors and in organizations ranging in size from startups to large enterprises. He is most proud of his work volunteering and advocating for the various communities he intersects with.
Robert Alsberry (he/him)
Volunteer Coordinator
Robert Alsberry RN, BScN., brings his lived experience as a Black gay man into all his paid and volunteer work. This includes founding Keeping it 100 (K1), an Ottawa-based black gay discussion group, and being an active participant in many Black, 2SLGBTQ+/HIV groups and cohorts.
Antonio Wilson
Ottawa Program & Events Lead
Antonio Wilson is an advocate for Peace, Love, and Prosperity. A man who wears many hats – Performance Artist, Peer Facilitator, Entrepreneur, Logistics Specialist, Quality Assurance Analyst and Volunteer. Working in many fields has allowed him to serve his community well, showing the care, support, and insight needed for community building. Antonio enjoys adventure and firmly believes that there is a lesson to learn in everything.
Mc Carson Bledman
Operations Lead /Ottawa Team
Mc Carson is passionate about capacity building, employee engagement, career and organizational development, and creating safer spaces for historically marginalized and racialized populations. He currently works within the immigrant employment space supporting his clients in reaching their full potential. You can also find him creating and collaborating on programs, events, and support for black queer and trans people in Ottawa and Ontario.
